DESCRIPTION:

Soft skills of graduates preparing to enter the labour market are as important as hard competencesThe aim of the Soft Skills project is to analyse the needs in terms of horizontal competences from the point of view of both entrepreneurs and young jobseekers. On the basis of surveys, the project implementers identified 12 competences which are worth developing and training, including: communication, cooperation, creativity, time management or resistance to stress. Based on the needs analysis, the partners developed a two-week workshop for Gaziantep University graduates in both on-site and online formats. The results of the training, together with the follow-up of the students' careers, will serve as an indicator of the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities carried out, and the developed course will be the main outcome of the project.

PROJECT RESULTS 

 

Objectives

Organizing and applying soft skills training,

Designing digital content on soft skills training,

Trying to increase the employability and quality of youth work in the labor market by improving the soft skills of

young graduates who are Preparing to enter the labor market,

Publishing the findings in an academic and peer-reviewed journal,

Offering a policy tool for the problem of youth employment according to the findings.

So strengthening the link between policy, research, and practice

 

Activities

Interviewing with sectors on soft skills,

Applying and analyzing of survey for students, Receiving applications, Randomly selection of the graduates,

Designing and applying soft skills training, designing digital content on soft skills training,

Monitoring the employment rates and publishing the findings in an academic and peer-reviewed journal.

 

Impact

Raising awareness of young graduates about soft skills,

Graduates become more competitive in the labor market with the soft skill competencies obtained,

Ensuring an increase in employment rates,

Submitting a policy proposal that the development of soft skills will have a positive impact on employment rates,

Dissemination of this policy tool,

Making digital educational content accessible.
