The FAS proposal intends to prevent early school leaving and promote diversity in learning environment, ensuring the educational success of children in primary and secondary junior schools, especially the ones who live in areas at risk and / or who have disadvantage backgrounds. The project expects to plan and develop – under the supervision of the competent public authorities – specific experimental actions, at policy level, to prevent and reduce ESL through the realisation of research, training and evaluation activities aimed at creating the basis to ensure that pupils will acquire a greater awareness both regards their skills and inclinations and about fundamental values and social competences addressing diversity in learning environment, thanks to an inclusive education that uses and integrates different approaches based on emotional dimension of school experience. This will be useful in order to prevent early school leaving and encourage the choice of an appropriate studies course in the future, as well as promote respect of diversity, tolerance and inclusion in learning environment.The expected outcomes of the proposal are: field research on pupils wellness at school; development and testing of European pedagogical practices and tools based on inclusive didactics and on diversity of learning styles which can improve pupils’ emotional and social competences; involvement of school teachers and trainers in a training path aimed at sharing experiences, opinions and thoughts with reference to European pedagogical practices and tools developed; training paths with parents, impact evaluation and dissemination of the project results.The project is based on the Commission Communication “Tackling early school leaving: A key contribution to the Europe 2020 agenda”, on the “Declaration on promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination through education”, on the ET2020 Working Group On Schools Policy Work Programme.
