DESCRIPTION:
The CareLink project focuses on supporting vulnerable young people who have experienced traumatic disasters. It aims to analyse existing gaps in support systems and propose evidence-based interventions that can be implemented at local, national and international levels. The project includes the development of an e-learning platform, training courses and toolkits for youth workers and families. These activities aim to build mental resilience and improve the mental health of young people in the context of disasters.
PROJECT OUTCOMES:
- Creation of toolkits with resources, guidelines and best practices on mental health in disaster contexts.
- Development of an e-learning platform to support youth workers, educators, families and mental health professionals in dealing with emotional challenges during and after disasters.
- Conduct trainings and workshops to build mental resilience among youth.
- Develop policy recommendations for mental health in disaster response and aftermath activities.
