GENERAL INFORMATION

The studies on the faculty of pedagogy make it possible to obtain pedagogical, sociological and psychological knowledge which helps students to develop themselves and prepares them to exercise the profession of a pedagogue. The obligatory classes broaden general knowledge, skills and social competences, necessary in the occupation of every pedagogue, and  they are continued during the  whole course of education. The optional subjects develop individual interests within a chosen educational career, which guarantees skills and knowledge useful in the future job.

Students graduating from the first-degree studies on the faculty of pedagogy have a basic knowledge about ideals, standards and duties of a pedagogue, they are prepared to plan, organise and carry out social tasks related to education and widely known – upbringing. They can act creatively on the human’s development in different  stages of life and do jobs in various  care and educational institutions according to the chosen path of education. The graduates are prepared to make an analysis of educational processes and systems and their cultural, social, political, historical and economic contexts.
