« back

EXPERTISE is an exchange of best practices to educate, recognize and train employment-friendly skills and is implemented under the Erasmus + program.

The project started in October 2017 and will be implemented for a period of 24 months (until the end of August 2019). The main coordinator is the Spanish institution Paula Montal, which together with ASPECT (Bulgaria), ACP (Greece), VsIEduplius (Lithuania), WSBiNoZ (Poland) and PROANDI (Portugal) implements activities in the field of developing broadly understood social competences and shaping skills to identify needs of trainers / tutors / educators working with young people, with particular attention paid to people with fewer opportunities and limited perspectives. Activities are conducted so as to guarantee social integration of young people and facilitate entry to the labor market through training and adequate education.

As part of the project, on the 28-30 October 2018 in Póvoa de Varzim (Portugal), the fourth international meeting took place and the hosting institution was the Portuguese partner - Proandi. Partners from Greece, Lithuania, Portugal, Poland, Spain and Bulgaria took part in the meeting. The main goal was to learn about Proandi's activities and practices used in youth work. The Portuguese partner shared his expertise on the tools used to educate young people. The participants of the meeting during organized workshops had the opportunity, together with Proandi students, to discuss issues related to emotions, as well as learn the practical importance of emotional intelligence in relation to various social situations and environments of people's functioning.

As an example of good practice, Proandi presented the MOOD METER method ("measure" of emotion recognition), which gives the opportunity to recognize, name and understand emotions, assess these emotions and manage them in the work environment. This tool can be used in many areas and may be adapted to specific target groups.

The next meeting of the project and exchange of practices in the field of developing intra and interpersonal skills will take place in April this year, and the hosting institution will be Eduplius from Lithuania. The last, sixth partner meeting under the project, which will be organized by WSBiNoZ and is planned to be held in Poland at the end of May 2018.
