Study visit in Hungary
Regardless of age, social status, or any other reference factor, sport should be a common element that links us in society. In addition to the benefits on the mind and body that sport has, through sports activities we develop socializing skills, inter-human relationships, and connection. We consider sport as a good source of nonformal learning that helps the individual to develop physically and mentally with the community he belongs to.
Through the SportSense project, we want to improve the collaboration of people in the community by creating sports events for the blind. The study visit was organized in Budapest Hungary from 22 to 25 September 2021.
Main objectives of the study visit:
- Participants will learn how to work with people with visual impairments.
- How to organise inclusive sport events for visually impaired people.
- What special conditions need to be met when organising such events.
- To understand better what it is like to do sports with visual impairments.
- Allow participants to improve their skills and competencies such as teamwork, cooperation, leadership, mutual understanding, and communication skills.
Participants:
- Together 12 participants from 4 different countries, Hungary, Romania, North-Macedonia and Poland joined the study visit.
