“Be careful what you eat and what you drink”
This time we had the opportunity to host primary school students from Zgierz at our university, who took part in theoretical and practical workshops on the quality of food and drinks in their daily menu. Under the supervision of lecturers of dietetics faculty, WSBINOZ students explained what ingredients they can find in products they eat and drink. As it turned out, almost every child brought their own lunch box with a second breakfast, so we also had the opportunity to talk about their contents.
The main topics raised during the workshops were:
- Pyramid of healthy eating for young people (2019)
- What to drink? What is the difference between juice, beverage and nectar.
- What are energetic drinks?
- Why should we avoid fast food;
- How much sugar can we find in sweets and popular drinks;
- The role of sport in our daily lives.
The workshops were organized in the frame of Free To Play Together project.
